While 75% of businesses have reopened, recovery is still underway. Emergency officials say the storms changed how they prepare — from expanding shelters to improving debris response. As we pass the midpoint of the 2025 hurricane season, officials urge residents not to compare future storms to past ones and to always stay vigilant.
