Beach Camping at South Lefroy Bay | Ningaloo Station | Secret Snorkelling Spots

Описание: This week we head to the ever popular campground in South Lefroy Bay on the Ningaloo Coast of Western Australia, situated between Exmouth and Coral Bay. South Lefroy is a dog-friendly beach camp that is well known for its beautiful crystal clear turquoise water, perfect for snorkelling, and is a popular campground to launch your boat.

Where is South Lefroy?
South Lefroy Bay is a remote campground on Ningaloo Station, on the coast midway between the southern end of the Cape Range National Park in Exmouth and Coral Bay. 

How to get to South Lefroy?
It is situated 147km from Exmouth, the road is bitcherman all the way to Yardie Creek, a river crossing and then a mix between rock/dirt and soft sand to the campground and is suitable for 4WD only. Best to reduce your tyre pressure at the entrance of Yardie Creek crossing and take the path on the left hand side hugging the creek, NOT straight through the middle like we did!

Campsites at South Lefroy?
We camped on site 42, the only campsite on the whole campground that offers a bit of shade and extra protection from the wind as it has some trees situated on the dune.

Booking Information
Bookings are made online through Explore parks and is essential before arrival (link below).
Fees are currently $10 per night per adult and $5 per night per child aged 6 – 15. Five years and under are free. Concession holders camp for $7 per night per person.  

The campground is open all year. June, July, August and September are the peak months, with the school holidays being the busiest and requiring bookings well in advance.
