EchoMesh is a software-only emergency communication platform designed to keep people connected when traditional communication infrastructure fails. During natural disasters, emergencies, or network outages, mobile networks and the Internet may become unavailable, making it difficult to contact family, coordinate rescue operations, or share critical information.

EchoMesh addresses this challenge by transforming nearby smartphones into a decentralized communication network using **Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Bluetooth Mesh Networking, Multi-Hop Routing, and Store-Carry-Forward (Delay-Tolerant Networking)**. Every smartphone acts as both a user device and a relay node, allowing messages to travel across multiple devices without relying on the Internet, cellular networks, Wi-Fi, or centralized servers.

How It Works

1. A user sends a message.
2. Nearby smartphones discover each other via Bluetooth.
3. Messages are relayed across multiple devices.
4. If no route exists, messages are securely stored.
5. As new devices come into range, messages are automatically forwarded until they reach the intended recipient.

EchoMesh demonstrates how decentralized communication can improve disaster response, emergency coordination, and community resilience without requiring any external hardware or Internet connectivity.
