We had already attended a wedding in Kasargod (almost a year back) [ • Kasargod Wedding Feast | ഒരു കാസർഗോഡ് കല്യ... ], and this is yet another one. Our objective is always to enjoy the flavors served in the wedding reception, and that day was not different. It was David Hoffmann of David's Been Here ( / davidsbeenhere , who joined me to attend this Christian wedding feast in Kasargod.
കല്യാണ വിരുന്ന് ഉണ്ണുക എന്നത് ഒരു പ്രത്യേക സുഖം തന്നാ - അത് ബിരിയാണി ആയാലും നാടൻ ഊണ് ആയാലും. ഇത് നമ്മടെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ Food N Travel കല്യാണ സദ്യ ആണ്; അതും കാസർഗോഡ് തന്നെ. ഈ കല്യാണ വിരുന്നിന് ബിരിയാണി വേണ്ടവർക്ക് ബിരിയാണിയും ഉണ്ട് ഊണ് വേണ്ടവർക്ക് ഊണും ഉണ്ട്.

Marriages are made in heaven and consummated on Earth ~ these are not my words, but John Lyly's. Whether I believe it or not, I always enjoy the vast spread of non-vegetarian and vegetarian food varieties served in the feast. This wedding was not an exception. A wedding that was attended by over 1500 people had Welcome Drinks, Appam, Neypatthil, Beef Varattiyathu, Duck Curry, Fish Curry, Chicken 65, Biriyani, Meals, and a set of desserts too. It was David's first experience at an Indian wedding ceremony, but it was not my first experience to take an American to an Indian wedding. I already had an experience with Mark Wiens at a Kannur Wedding ( • 1,200 Fried Chickens!! GIANT INDIAN FOOD W... ).
