Upgrading Programs to Further Post Secondary in BC

Описание: Adult Basic Education (ABE) academic upgrading is an important route of access into post-secondary programs.  But how well is ABE functioning in this role in BC?  Is ABE upgrading a pathway to success for those who are initially under-prepared for college or university?  How many former ABE students achieve post-secondary credentials at the same institution?  This session will provide answers to these questions arising from a recent BCCAT research project, including an analysis of 197,149 students who had taken an ABE upgrading course over the past 13 years between 2009/10 and 2022/23.
