1. Attack and Obstruction Faced by Sohail Afridi

Sohail Afridi shared a message on his X (formerly Twitter) account at 5:00 AM, stating that while returning from Hyderabad, all routes for him and his team were deliberately blocked. For the past four hours, they had been forced to change routes repeatedly. At 4:23 AM, they finally reached a deserted road and proceeded toward Karachi. He accused the Sindh government of endangering not only his life but also the lives of his team members.

He warned that the treatment being meted out to a provincial Chief Minister in another province sets a dangerous precedent and could prove harmful in the near future. He emphasized that Pakistan belongs to all its citizens and spreading hatred to an irreversible level is shameful. According to him, what he called “fake democratic forces” are leaving no stone unturned in damaging national unity.

Salman Akram Raja’s Press Conference

Senior PTI leader Salman Akram Raja stated that from Karachi to Hyderabad, large numbers of people came out to welcome the convoy, sending a clear message that they stand with peaceful and democratic forces.

He also clarified that Pakistan’s army would never be sent to Gaza, nor would it confiscate weapons from Palestinians, stating that such ideas may be acceptable elsewhere but not to the people of Pakistan.

Statements by Sindh PTI President Haleem Adil Sheikh

Haleem Adil Sheikh criticized the Sindh government, calling the airport welcome a “symbolic drama” and termed the treatment of the visiting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister as deeply unfortunate.

He said that if the government had no ill intent, it would not have delayed the NOC. Arrangements for 25,000 chairs and logistics could not realistically be completed in a few hours. He accused the Pakistan Peoples Party of abandoning democratic values and stated that they would not forgive the seven-hour ordeal imposed on their guest.

Sohail Afridi declared that while the people of Sindh welcomed him with love, the provincial government panicked. He said all routes to Bagh-e-Jinnah had been sealed, Mazar-e-Quaid was declared a no-go area, and police openly stated they would not recognize any NOC.

Senior journalist Sohail Warraich explained that talk of a “Wonder Boy” does not necessarily mean the government is about to fall. He stated that a specific non-political group believes the current system has three major flaws: lack of a strong political narrative, weak delivery, and slow economic progress.

According to him, if such a “Wonder Boy” were ever sought, it would likely be a non-political figure rather than an elected leader.

Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) claimed that its central leader, Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi, is being held illegally and secretly by intelligence agencies without any legal justification.
