In this video, we tackled a tough tree sap removal job right here in the Huntsville, Willis, and Lake Conroe area. This GMC Sierra 2500 was covered in severely hardened tree sap and tar, which had bonded deeply into the paint and trim.
We started with a professional-grade sap and tar remover, but given how embedded the sap was, it just wasn’t enough. As a professional last resort, we carefully used gasoline to dissolve the stubborn sap. (Note: This is a specialized technique and not recommended for DIY.)
After the sap was removed:
• We polished the paint to restore its shine and clarity.
• Each panel was thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
• We applied a high-quality ceramic sealant to protect and revitalize the paint coat.
The final result is a beautifully restored truck, ready for the road with a glossy finish and protected trim.
