On the 78th anniversary of the Declaration of Naga Independence Day, we remember our forefathers and all the Martyrs and pray for God's forgiveness upon our land. For healing and for wisdom to grow and lead the world into the light. The Lord has loved and blessed us and it is time for us to seek Him and find peace and freedom in His grace.

Drawing parallels between the biblical story of the journey of the Israelites from oppression in Egypt to the promised land, Canaan led by Moses under the charge of God - Jehovah with the Naga Freedom struggles - maybe there is still hope for us, to mend our ways and find our way home to the promised lands. God bless every listener.

The stories of the Naga struggle for Freedom are innumerable. Most or all Naga families have lost members and even whole families have been lost to the conflicts, strife and the many terrible operations in our land post India's Independence and statehood, followed by more terrible events once the groups broke into more factions and army presence until the ceasefires brought some semblance of peace to our lands.
Every Naga knows a bunch of heartbreaking ones and we have all suffered some trauma over the years on account of all that has happened.
Remembering our grandparents, uncles, aunts and other elders and youngsters who gave their all to protect our people, identity and lands then and some are now lying in foreign soils, forgotten by the world but not by us.
Modern times present modern problems and challenges. But by God's grace, we can all be redeemed and He will not forsake us.
