Описание: Europeans or Americans might take media freedom for granted or think that supressive actions are not prevalent in their countries. Far from it! Jane Whyatt works for the European centre for press and the media freedom (ECPMF) in Leipzig and reveals how censorship, reporter harassment and victimization are still widespread phenomena that need to be adressed - and shows ways to deal with the issue. Jane Whyatt is a multi-platform journalist with good European language skills and a strong track record in reporting on diverse communities, She lives and works in Germany and frequently travels across Europe to defend journalists under threat from hate speech, mafia death threats or state surveillance in her role at the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom. She is researching the ethics of Artificial Intelligence in journalism and news production.
