Most BEAUTIFUL Place in Slovenia? | Lake Bled Travel Guide

Описание: If there's one place that people have heard about in Slovenia, it's Lake Bled. This place has been a famous tourist destination for hundreds of years, and in this video I show you the highlights of the area.

Bled is the name of the lake, and also the name of the town by the lake. It's also the name of the island in the middle of the lake, so it can get confusing what you refer to when you mention Bled. But luckily enough, I will show you all three in this video.

The history of Bled starts more than 1000 years ago, and I read up on the history of the castle, the church on the island in the middle of the lake, and the area itself. Aside from history, I also show you what you can do when you visit Bled - for example, hike around the lake or visit one of the many viewpoints, take a boat out to the island, ring a wishing bell in the church, see the pendulum mechanism in the bell tower, ride a toboggan down the ski slope, or simply enjoy the magnificent views.

If you want to induldge in a local delicacy, you should also try the the Bled Cream Cake - a cake that is strictly guided by the lucky number seven. The puff pastry is folded seven times, the custard is cooked for seven minutes, and the cake is cut into seven by seven cm big pieces.
