Hello everyone and welcome to the Weird, Scary and Horrible Parts of Humanity!
Today we are looking at the worst aviation accident that took place in the history of Syria and in the history of the former flag carrier of the Czech Republic and Czechoslovakia, CSA Flight 540 which left a combined 126 people dead and 2 survivors.
We will analyse the history of CSA and the Ilyushin IL-62, the passengers and crew aboard the doomed flight, what took place on the 20th of August 1975 and speculate as to why the plane crashed with the cause a mystery to this day.
