Patrol Rifle Setup | AR 15 Setup 2022

Описание: Welcome back to Hunt Fish Shoot! With this weeks video we are reviewing and going over a patrol rifle setup and how you can set up a rifle for duty usage. We talk about the considerations you need to have when doing so! We hope you enjoy it.

The rifle is a Troy Defense 16 inch mid length setup with a M16 bolt carrier. It has a BCM Mod 0 comp and a BCM Mod 4 large latch charging handle. Mounted on the rifle is a Trijicon MRO. The red dot of choice is an integral part in putting together a duty or patrol rifle that is ready when you need it most. Whether it be Aimpoint or Trijicon you cannot go wrong with the battery life, durability and quality you get. I prefer a red dot for patrol use, but even a LPVO of good quality from Leupold, Sig, Vortex, Trijicon, EOtech and a slew of others is great if you train an understand it’s functionality. Just don’t forget a pair of quality iron sights whether they are flip up or fixed.

Next there is the sling, we employ a two point but if you prefer a single point that is fine. Just train with your preferred sling method and get a quality sling. It’s a very important piece because if you have to use that rifle in an active shooter situation, you will need the use of both hands at some point. The one on this rifle is a Magpul brand MS3 sling.

A flashlight on your patrol rifle is an absolute must and there are three great company’s that come to mind when I think of illumination you can rely on. Streamlight, Surefire and Modlight all make fantastic rifle lights built for real world applications. Remember when you are putting together a rifle for saving lives, buy something you have no doubt you can trust when yit hits the fan.

The remaining parts on this rifle set up are a BCM forward grip, BCM Gunfighter stock and a CMC 4.5 Two stage duty trigger. The best part about AR platforms is your ability to set it up how you see fit, just don’t forget what your purpose is. No matter how you set up your rifle, if you don’t train and have a sheepdog mindset, it will not matter.
