Recipe -
Ingredients:
1. Gehun ka Atta/Whole Wheat Flour - 2 cups
2. Boondi - 1 cup
3. Coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
4. Green Chili - 1 no (chopped)
5. Salt - as per taste
6. Garam Masala/All spice mix powder - 1/2 teaspoon
7. Chaat Masala - 1/2 teaspoon
8. Lal Mirchi Powder/Red chili powder - 1/2 tespoon
9. Ghee/Clarified butter - 1/2 cup
Instructions:
1. In the wheat flour, put salt and knead it so that dough is of medium consistency. Keep it aside for 10 minutes and cover with muslin cloth.
2. Dip the boondi in water and take it out immediately in bowl.
3. In a bowl, take coriander leaves, put chopped green chili, chaat masala, all spice mix powder, salt and red chili powder and then the drained out boondi. Mix well evenly with hands.
4. Roll it about 3 inches size and put boondi masala in it. Bring all the edges together of the dough and press them to the center.
5. Flatten the roll again and dust it with some more flour. Now roll the paratha lightly from all sides and the center as well making a perfect circle of 4-5 inches diameter.
6. On the hot pan, put the rolled paratha on it. Once it is cooked on one side on medium flame, flip the paratha and apply ghee. Repeat the same for the other side.
7. Once the paratha is cooked, cut paratha in 2 or 4 pieces.
8. The Boondi Paratha is ready and can be served hot with chutney or pickle or curd.
