DRISHTI RESEARCH CENTER is an anthropologist center, based in Dhaka and managed by Thérèse Blanchet. Her 34 years of experience in Bangladesh have taught her to place listening at the heart of what she does. Thérèse and her team studied the motivations behind water consumption trends in the Goalmari region for Grameen Veolia Water.
What she does:
Thérèse and her specialised team of anthropologists, the Drishti Research Center conducted an on-site study. The team's job was to provide insight into local residents' perceptions of relevant health issues, relations between communities, the social hierarchy, the role of women and the influence of these different social mechanisms on usage patterns.
