Hanging Lake, The Most Popular Hike In Colorado

This place is so special you have to have a permit and timed entry just to see it. The hike is rough and hard, but it is so worth the struggle.
The mountain trail starts at the Colorado River and follows a spectacular, waterfall filled creek up over 1000 feet to the most beautiful views known to man.
Then, just a little further up and behind the lake, you will find a 100-foot waterfall you can actually get under and cool off in. This my friends was well worth the pain it took to get there.
