Left: My 5.10 from 3x3 Round 1 at Beachside Auckland 2024.
Middle: Richard Yiheng Tao's 5.03 from NZ Nationals 2023 (current NR single).
Right: My 5.05 from 3x3 Round 2 at Beachside Auckland 2024.
Even though I have four official singles sub 5.03, I haven't set any of those since I switched to representing New Zealand at the start of the year, so they don't count as national record. Both these low 5s were fullstep so I know its just a matter of time before I break 5.03 (as long as someone doesn't beat me to it!).
Both these solves had sub 5 potential but I made slight mistakes that cost me. Hopefully I'll get sub 5 again at my next comp: Fast Solves in Fendalton 2024 in Christchurch, May 18th-19th.
