Just another quick little part of my experience with the grafting. In this video I pot on some of the pears but it is the exact same process for the apples.
This video was filmed on the 11th of May, I kept the potted trees in the shed for a brief period just because of predicted frosts but I doubt this is necessary and it wouldn't be possible on a larger scale.
As you can see in the video I unfortunately let some of the grafted roots dry out and in future I will definitely try and avoid this.....just need to keep a closer eye on it and I think I am going to bind 10-20 roots together and submerge them deeper in a larger top with material that retains moisture well.....best wishes
