A family holiday where we go shopping in the street market which is thirsty work so we have drinks near by and then a pony and trap ride.
In Liguria you can find numerous supermarkets and shops the open-air markets are still very important for the local people. What is more, in the smallest towns weekly open-air markets are a kind of feast! The ladies go to a hairdresser, wear their best clothes and meet the friends for a cup of coffee after a stroll through the market stands. For me, the open-air markets are also an excellent way to see how the Ligurian people live like.
