Diana met with a master in the trade, Nicholas Piazza of Gloria Wan Hair Design in NYC. Piazza is one of the few to still make his wigs by hand and the costs reflect that. Piazza's wigs take up to six weeks to make and cost around $4,000. His wigs are made entirely of real hair.
Today, many wigs are made by factory workers in China with synthetic hair.
