Описание: This is a song beloved by many people who grew up in post war Britain. It was played regularly on the 'Children's Choice' radio programme that went out on the old BBC Light Programme. Vernon Dalhart was one of the true pioneers of Country music along with his compatriots Jimmie Rodgers, Carson Robison and The Carter Family. These are the singers listened to by Marty Robbins, Jim Reeves, Eddy Arnold and Johnny Cash in their youth. I'm quite surprised that the song hasn't been recorded more often as I know of only two other versions by Carson Robison and Michael Holliday.
