Widely known for his action roles of the eighties and nineties, Lundgren is actually far more than just a movie star. No, he’s also a very accomplished man outside of the film industry. And that’s proven by the fact he not only holds a black belt in karate, but also a degree in chemical engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

That said, it will always be his work on the big screen that general audiences are more familiar with him for. But then why wouldn’t that be the case as he’s been oh so memorable as the hero in performances like that of He-Man in Masters of the Universe and Frank Castle in The Punisher. And when he’s not been doing this, he’s been playing the villain just as effectively by portraying Karl Honig in Johnny Mnemonic, Sergeant Andrew Scott in Universal Soldier, and of course Ivan Drago in Rocky 4.

All of this is to say then, Dolph Lundgren is a true renaissance man in every sense of the word as there seems to be no limit on what he’s capable of both on screen and off screen. And with him still going strong well into his sixties, there’s no limits on what he’ll be able to achieve in the future. Who knows, maybe we’ll even see him give us another iconic character or two before all is said and done. Or maybe we’ll see him do more TV work like he did in Arrow back in 2016.
