"Something darts past your boots. Then another. The undergrowth rustles, claws scrape stone, and suddenly the space around you feels far too crowded."
Hey folks!
Today’s track is Skitter and Slash, a tense, scrappy combat cue focused on small, chaotic threats rather than epic clashes. It’s built from closely mic’d, jittery percussion, plucked instruments nudged slightly out of tune with pitch bends, and woodwinds playing fluttertongue motifs that skitter in and out. Everything is deliberately a little messy, uncomfortable, and up-close.
This one’s great for swarm encounters, goblin ambushes, insect-infested ruins, hazardous undergrowth, etc.

Alternate Track
Bard tier supporters get access to one alternate version of the track:
Spacey Ambience: A very different rework that stretches and abstracts sections of the original into drifting ambience, with rising and falling effects. Designed for background use in sci-fi locations like space stations, orbital habitats, or quiet industrial interiors.
This composition, alongside all other tracks in my Tabletop RPG Music series, is designed for use in Dungeons and Dragons or other tabletop role-playing games. Game Masters are welcome to use any of these tracks to form the background soundtrack to their games. Patreon supporters can get downloadable copies of each track, including looping and 1 hour versions, alternate tracks, future track suggestions, behind the scene VODs, bonus tracks, and more!
