Описание: Yours in Education, brought to you by the Placer County Office of Education, is back for Season 3 with its award-winning six-part series airing bi-monthly. Reaching thousands of viewers, the show has received regional, statewide, and national acclaim for its dedication to showcasing the high-quality, top-tier public education system in Placer County.

Hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalist Kellie DeMarco, alongside Placer County Superintendent of Schools Gayle Garbolino-Mojica, the series dives into hot topics, celebrates hardworking educators, and highlights innovative programs that make Placer County #GoldinEducation.

This episode dives into how Placer County schools are preparing students for the future through workforce development and hands-on learning opportunities. We’ll highlight the Dual Enrollment Emergency Response program in the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District and the Learning Through Interests Internship Program at Confluence High School in the Placer Union High School District — both giving students real-world experience while still in high school. We’ll also visit the Cub News broadcasting team in the Eureka Union School District, where students are building skills in media and communication.

Plus, meet the 2025 Placer County High School Teacher of the Year, Holly Gotwals. She leads Rocklin USD’s Adult Transition Program, helping students with disabilities (ages 18–22) gain the skills they need for independent living, meaningful employment, and life beyond high school. Holly will go on to represent Placer County in the statewide competition!
