Eceng gondok, or water hyacinth, is a highly invasive aquatic plant that grows rapidly and causes serious environmental problems by covering water surfaces, reducing oxygen levels, disrupting aquatic ecosystems, and increasing the risk of flooding.

One sustainable way to address this issue is by processing water hyacinth into woven products, such as handmade bags. By transforming this invasive plant into a usable and durable material, its uncontrolled growth can be reduced while simultaneously creating environmentally friendly products.

This approach not only contributes to environmental preservation but also provides additional income opportunities for local communities, turning an ecological problem into a source of social and economic value.
