Описание: Röyksopp is a Norwegian musical duo that makes electronic music. The duo is formed by Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge and has been active since 1998. Röyksopp, which literally means pollen fungus, is the Norwegian name (as Røyksopp) for the genus Lycoperdaceae from the fungi kingdom: a type of mushroom that emits a smoky cloud when touched. The name Röyksopp may also refer to the mushroom cloud that appears after the explosion of an atomic bomb. In the beginning, Röyksopp mainly made music that is classified as downbeat or downtempo, as can be heard on the debut album Melody A.M. After this, however, the duo moved on to more alternative pop music, although Röyksopp returned to the melancholic downbeat of Melody A.M. in 2010 with the album Senior.
