During September 2016, Queensland Rail operated a special week long steam train service from Brisbane to Charleville, located in Western Queensland, to coincide with the annual National Bilby Day celebrations that were being held in Charleville.
The train was called "The Dawnie Express" in honour of the Save the Bilby ambassador and former Australian Olympian, Dawn Fraser.
This video follows the train on the final day of the week long adventure, as it travels from Toowoomba back to Brisbane.
