A High-Speed Rail Journey on the TGV | Paris - Strasbourg

Описание: This video is different compared to most of my content because it is produced overseas. It is destined to highlight the incredible experience of a high-speed train travelling from Paris to Strasbourg. So far, this is one the first videos on my channel containing high-speed rail and the first one to be produced outside New Zealand.

I’ve had an opportunity to ride on one of the most fastest low-cost rail services to Strasbourg on Ouigo. From Paris (Gare de l’est railway station) covering a total distance of 491 km in just 1 hour and 47 minutes! The distance between the two cities if about three times greater than the distance between Wellington and Palmerston North. However, the train manages to get to the destination quicker than the Capital Connection and Te Huia routes combined, in New Zealand. It is obvious because the TGV travels at such a rapid speed. Having a ride on the double-floored duplex TGV train is frankly fun and enjoyable although the train did not provide food and beverages as the service is low-cost. You can immerse yourself to rush through the rural landscapes around the rail corridor as the train dashes at a speed of up to 320 km/h! (198 mph).

Covering up the information about Paris Gare de l’est station, The Gare de l’est (station of the east) being one out of the six major railway stations of Paris, serving the eastern TGV line linking Strasbourg and other communes in the east. The line is owned by SNCF, one of the France’s largest National state-owned rail operators.
