GOTY Expedition 33 Used Generative AI & Nobody Noticed

Описание: This AI controversy was a mistake. This was something that flew under the radar in April and was Quickly patched by Clair Obscur Expedition 33 devs, which makes it seem like it was an accident. Today I want to talk about the nuanced topic of AI in video games, again. I think some people missed the point last video, GenAI in creative spaces is creating soulless work. Many comparisons are being drawn but I don't think they're all great. This seemed to be a genuine accident, but when AI is used in early stages its going to be easy to forgot to remove, whereas a green or pink bright square will be easy to replace with the asset. Just sucks to see this was in early stages of Clair Obscur Expedition 33, and meant to be removed, stuff like this will keep happening.
Seems like it was a Unreal Engine asset, and it was removed quickly. So good on them for that, but the messaging around it has been strange and I wanted to talk about this
