Rhodes Park School was honoured to host a special assembly with the Rhodes Scholarship National Secretary for Zambia, Dr. Namukale Chintu, and our distinguished alumnus, David Jeevankumar—a 2025 Rhodes Scholar. David shared his inspirational journey, detailing how the "seeds" planted at Rhodes Park School led to this global achievement. His time here was marked by exceptional all-round ability: he was a Class Councillor, House Captain, Chess Captain, JETS Club President, and a participant in the World Scholars Cup, basketball, and cross-country.
A standout moment in his Rhodes interview came from a unique skill he developed in Grade 10: solving the Rubik's Cube. When the panel challenged him to prove his claim of solving it in under 50 seconds, he successfully demonstrated it. David’s story is a powerful testament to how the leadership, diverse passions, and intellectual curiosity nurtured at Rhodes Park School are the foundation for creating future global scholars and leaders.
