Dalit girl gang-raped in India, video goes viral |Insights| Freedom for All

Описание: In unabated incidents of gang rape against Dalit women in India, a new victim girl appeared to lodge a complaint with the police in the Southern Indian state of Karnataka.

The victim girl in her complaint said that she was kidnapped in a car while she waited for the bus in the Yadgir district of the state & gang-raped by around a half dozen men.

The incident was reported to the police on Monday after the video went viral on social media. The victim was reportedly waiting near Rastapura road when she was kidnapped and taken to a farm near Kanyakollur road & was gang-raped there.

The video showed the victim attacked by five or six men with sugarcane sticks after being stripped naked. The men beat her up in the pitch darkness even as she begs them to let her go.

The culprits tell the victim, that no one is coming to rescue her. They used the mobile torchlight and vehicle’s headlight to shoot the video & the video also showed the rapists clicking selfies with the victim during the rape.

The maltreatment of Dalits in India is known to everyone all over the world & this lack of safety & protection for Dalit women in the world’s so called largest secular state is a matter of great concern.
