🔩 Introduction to the Geneva Wheel Mechanism 🔧
The Geneva wheel mechanism, also known as the Maltese cross mechanism, is a popular and widely used indexing mechanism in various mechanical systems. The mechanism consists of a driving wheel and a driven wheel with intermittent rotational motion. The primary purpose of this mechanism is to convert continuous rotary motion into intermittent rotary motion.
⚙️ Functioning of the Geneva Wheel Mechanism ⚙️
☑ The Geneva wheel mechanism operates on the principle of a driver wheel with radial slots and a driven wheel with a pin.
