Day 43: People Pleasing Detox
People pleasing often begins as a survival strategy.
Many women learn early that maintaining harmony, preventing conflict, and anticipating others’ needs helps create safety in relationships. Over time, this pattern can turn into rescuing, over-functioning, and taking responsibility for emotions that do not belong to us.
But rescuing others can quietly disconnect us from our own clarity.
A detox from people pleasing does not mean becoming harsh or indifferent. It means allowing other people to carry their own responsibilities while you remain present and grounded.
Today’s practice is simple:
Do not rescue.
Notice where you feel the impulse to step in, fix, soften, or over-accommodate.
Pause.
Let the moment pass without taking over.
This is how personal authority begins to strengthen.
