Strengthening the soleus is crucial to off-loading the gastrocnemius when performing activities such as running. This largely endurance-based muscle is rarely targeted, and can easily be trained via a drill like this.
The expected norm is to be able to do 4 sets of 20 reps with a minute rest between sets, if you cannot achieve this, work from what you can do. If you can accomplish 4x20, you're good to go!
