Описание: Early Reflections opens the archive of early works by Dresden-based techno artist Insect O. This LP brings together eight techno tracks recorded between 2000 and 2003, capturing the formative years of his sound.

Early Reflections is not a debut, but an early snapshot of an evolving musical identity. The recordings document an artist searching for his language — shaped by dub techno melancholy, hypnotic repetition, and minimal techno structures.

Driven by the music technology of the early 2000s, Insect O. combines the groove of the Akai MPC2000 with virtual analog and FM synthesizers. Analog mixer hum, hiss, and intentionally rough effects give the tracks a raw, live character. Each piece captures the energy of real-time performance, a feeling that continues to influence his music today.

The artwork reflects the same atmosphere. Centered around a half-moon photograph, it balances calm and tension. Clouds drift across the moon, reflecting its light and creating subtle motion within stillness. Visible lunar craters add texture and depth, grounding the image while maintaining a sense of distance and mystery.

Early Reflections — raw techno roots, early live energy, and the foundation of a sound that still resonates.
