A group of Pakistani Hindu refugees currently residing in Delhi, India's national capital, have staged a protest against comments made by Arvind Kejriwal on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) law. The refugees, who have been in India for a significant period, celebrated the announcement of the CAA law by the Prime Minister, as it would grant them Indian citizenship. However, opposition leaders, Kejriwal included, criticised the move, suggesting it could lead to an increase in crime, including rape, decoyity, and rioting.
