The hostel is located in the city center, which is not as popular as Miraflores. I didn't feel that the neighborhood was really dangerous. The prices in this area are definitely cheaper. The hostel building is huge, and there is a rooftop. Everything doesn't seem to be new but could be a good option to stay for a couple of days.
