On March 3rd, 2013, at the Stadio Olimpico, AS Roma secured a 3–1 victory over Genoa CFC in a match defined by the brilliance of their captain, Francesco Totti.
Totti scored once and provided two assists to orchestrate all three of Roma’s goals. His strike was historic, as it saw him surpass Gunnar Nordahl to become the second highest scorer in Serie A history.
It was another milestone in a career built on loyalty and longevity and a record he would ultimately extend to 250 league goals by the time he brought his Serie A journey to a close.
