Applique! Miss Kelly - How I Use a Light Box

Описание: Lining up pieces on an applique design can be tricky. This short video shows you how I use a light box and the pattern to pin together three individual fabric pieces to create our purple birds. The light box can speed up your process AND lead to greater precision.

Use this same technique if you are using a bright window or other light to assist in making templates and pinning pieces together.

This applique quilt block was designed by Erin Russek for her quilt "My Tweets." "Miss Kelly" is the center motif for this quilt design and I will be creating this block over the next few months.

For reference, here are the fabrics I am using for my quilt. All were purchased at Joann and I got 1/3 yard of each fabric except for the dark purple (1 yd). A couple of the fabrics are noted as fat quarters.
