William IV Rosewood writing slope.
A stunning wringing slope that dates back to c.1830, it’s beautifully inlaid with a pewter and mother of pearl pattern. The writing slope has a fully working lock and tasseled key. It has military handles to the sides,Inside you will find a stationary compartment to the back of the box, extra storage space underneath the writing surface, a releathered writing surface, a nib slope a pen slope and a two compartments where there should be two Inkwells, unfortunately the box didn’t come with its original inkwells, however it would be a nice project to find one which fir the box perfectly.
It measures 50.5 by 27 and stands 18 cm high
