After catching L412 for the second time, I saw M573 was right behind him, so I decided I wanted to get a video of him as well. As I didn't think I'd have time to hop over to downtown Bowling Green to get him, I decided just to get him at the next crossing over from Bristow Road, which was this one. After a bit of waiting, I was able to catch my fourth, and final, train of the day: CSX M573 with an ES40DC leading an SD70MAC and an MP15AC on the head-end and an AC44CW and another SD70MAC working as the mid-train DPUs! Kinda neat to see another CSX EMD switcher on this train, even if it was trailing. Amusingly, the MP15AC is running on home rails, seeing as it's a former L&N unit as well.
After this, I got myself some supper and hit the road for Huntsville.

This crossing is a pretty decent one, even if, for me at least, it's a bit on the boring side, IMHO. The signals here were installed by the Seaboard System back in the 1980s and are still remarkably original. In fact, they were still fully original up through at least the 2000s, but then, sometime between 2008 and when ‪@EthantheRailfanner‬ first visited this crossing about a decade later in 2018, CSX had replaced the original Safetran mechanical bell on the far side with the current NEG e-bell. Thankfully, this so far has been the only major change to the crossing since it was first installed, and the rest of the crossing remains pretty much almost entirely unchanged otherwise. The closer signal even still retains its original Safetran mechanical bell, which is the last one left on the CSX Mainline Subdivision, though unfortunately it has been dead for quite a few years now. Kinda surprised that CSX hasn't tried to fix or replace it yet, TBH. I suppose at least the crossing remains incandescent though, which always looks nice in low light levels like when I recorded this one.
