We need to stop combining the doctrine of security with the doctrine of assurance, it causes people to trust in a prayer/decision/their sincerity/an experience they had for their salvation instead Jesus, look unto Christ and trust in him for your salvation, not in a decision you made or any experience you had, the evidence of true conversion is on-going fruit in your life and that by God's power and discipline you are living and growing in the lifestyle of walking in the narrow way.
