Operations Group Roanoke is a realism based Arma 3 military Simulation unit. Our roots are based in a relaxed community structure out of game but a realistic, extremely serious and mature play style in game. We accomplish this by treating OGR as a welcome-to-all gaming community where members can join and play a wide variety of games with their friends, while leaning heavily on our veteran ran community to simulate real military tactics, techniques, and procedures. If you are a participating member of OGR you are expected to maintain a 18+ maturity level and remain fully immersed in your role during detachment operations. At it's core OGR is a US military Special Operations Task Force which portrays elements from all Department of Defense Branches. The elements include units from AFSOC, 75th RR, JSOAC, UKSF 22nd SAS, 5th SFG and ISA. The Task Force spans across three days and has various "off-night" events in between detachment operations. A full break down of the units can be found on the Task Force ORBAT above and the detachment explanations below.
