Mararison Island | Little Batanes of Antique?

Описание: Mararison, also known as Malalison, is one of three islands located in Culasi, Antique.
Based on local folklore, the islands of Mararison along with Maniguin and Batbatan are siblings separated from their parents – Mount Madjaas and Mount Kanlaon – by their envious neighbor Mount Baloy. Seen from above, the three islands seem to be reaching out to their grieving mother Madjaas, Mararison is the closest and just within reach.

This is a DIY travel video that shows you how to get there and highlights the beauty of the island.

To get there, you’ll need to book a flight to either Kalibo International Airport or Caticlan International Airport. Booking an early flight can help you get a cheaper fare.

From Kalibo or Caticlan, take a bus or van to the town of Culasi in Antique. The fare ranges from 100 to 250 PHP.

Coordinate with the Tourism Information Center and Passenger Terminal at Culasi Port so they can assign you a boat to take you to the island.
