Charting the Path for EU Defense with Amb. Charles Fries, DSG for Peace, Security and Defense

Описание: Please join the CSIS Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 10:00am EST at CSIS, for an in-person panel discussion between Charles Fries, Deputy Secretary General for Peace, Security and Defense at the European External Action Service (EEAS) and Max Bergmann, Director of the CSIS Europe, Russia, and Eurasia Program and Stuart Center.

The conversation will touch on the European Union as a defense actor, the state of play of EU-US cooperation in security and defense as well as the challenges the European Union and United States will need to address together in 2024, including efforts to increase industrial production in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. This event will take place at CSIS, located at 1616 Rhode Island Avenue NW.
