Описание: Tonight’s program continues our year-long celebration of the centennial birthday of Chico O’Farrill with the first of a series sharing highlights from this past December’s Chico Centennial Celebration live concert at El Museo del Barrio. In this excerpt we feature one of the special guests on the show – NEA Grand Master, Big Chief Donald Harrison. Donald performs both Chico’s legendary “Afro Cuban Jazz Suite” as well as a couple of his own pieces, including the New Orlean’s standard Iko Iko.

We also feature segments of the evening’s “Pre Show Artist Conversation” with Arturo O’Farrill, Donald Harrison, Adam O’Farrill and Zack O’Farrill, moderated by Felipe Tristan.

Tonight is also the debut of our new schedule for the La Plaza program which will now be on Tuesdays. So join us and enjoy this evening of music and conversation celebrating the Chico O’Farrill centennial.
