The cardiac muscles of the heart are myogenic, meaning they initiates their own electrical impulses to contract the muscles. We know that the cardiac cycle is where the different chambers of the heart contract and relax at different stages, here we discuss how specialised tissues within the heart control when atrial and ventricular systoles actually occur.
