Описание: In this episode I show off the "kit" i developed to help me motorize my kayak. I used some 2 x 4s that I cut to length and painted in order to protect them from the water. Many high end kayaks come with a rail system for rod holders and other things. I took advantage of it and found the biggest strongest bolts that could e made to fit inside the slot system perfectly. I took an angle grinder and removed just enough of the bolt head to slip into the rails. They are now super solid and will easily hold the 2x4s. The one on the back has a solid transom I made and the one in the front has 2 rod holders. I do not like them at all as they twist around whenever you catch a big fish and they are easily stripped out. I will redo the rod holders up front. Maybe even weld some together that face a certain way and cannot twist in position. The motor I used is a minnkota 34lb thrust and the battery is an Optima blue top. With this combo, I can stay on the water all day long even on speed number 5. As always thank you guys for watching my videos!!!
