[Statement]
"990" is not a synthesizer model or a system code.
It is an 8-year physical log of my New Balance 990 sneakers.

This track is a sonic translation of 'Wabi-Sabi' (the Japanese aesthetic of finding beauty in imperfection and decay).
An unworn sneaker is merely a completed form.
But over 8 years of wear, the sole inevitably erodes asymmetrically, recording the exact habits and gravity of my stride.
It becomes a deeply personal data log, carved by friction and time.
Musically, this "soft collapse" is not represented by explosive destruction, but by irreversible physical degradation.

The raw acoustic recordings of these footsteps act as a ghost-trigger (sidechain), physically ducking and crushing the flawless electronic synthesizers.

The structural spine of this track is not a flawless machine sequence, but a relentless live bass loop. Executed with absolute meditative focus, this organic grid is subjected to gradual, irreversible distortion—a sonic manifestation of physical erosion consuming a living structure.

The Amen break is irreversibly degraded by a Bitcrusher, symbolizing the decay of digital memory.

Perfection is static.
Erosion is a living sculpture of time.
