Rosslynlee Hospital was an excellent explore, it was definitely our most in-depth urbex of 2018 so far with loads of things to see and all pointing towards when this place was a fully operational Hospital.

Heres some information we managed to find out online:

Known originally as the Midlothian and Peebles District Asylum, it opened in 1874 to serve the landward parishes of Edinburgh and Midlothian. It became known as Rosslynlee because of its proximity to the local railway station.

It changed its name to Rosslynlee Mental Hospital (1948-60). Set in 64 acres of land, it was a psychiatric hospital until late 2010 and eventually closed early 2011 as it was deemed surplus to requirements due to the construction of the New Midlothian Community Hospital at Mayshade, Eskbank which was completed in September 2010.
