In this long video, I create a modern calligraphy background on canvas for beginners.
First, I prime the canvas with white primer on a wet surface.
Then I use only two colors: black and red.
I simply drop the colors onto the wet canvas.
After that, I use different sponges:
– one sponge for black
– one sponge for red
– one sponge for blending black and red
– one sponge for red and white primer
This creates a soft pink shade naturally.
At the end, I finish the background with white primer.
This background is perfect for modern calligraphy practice and composition.
I’m sharing this full process step by step on my channel for beginners.
